Pastes on Steel
Steel ceramic applications are used, when the superior mechanical properties of the steel substrates are necessary and any disadvantages, such as additional weight, can be discounted.
Heraeus offers pastes, which can be printed directly on steel (prefered Cr-steel, DIN-Standard No 1.4016 or 1.4521).
Continuous operation at up to 250°C is possible.
Pastes on Aluminum
The new Insulated Aluminum Materials System (IAMS) can be fired at less than 550°C, and it is compatible with 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 series aluminum substrates.
Its unique glass system minimizes bowing on aluminum while providing high dielectric breakdown strength and good thermal conductivity.
IAMS is not suitable for wet applications.
